ANNOUNCES INVITATION FOR BID (IFB)CHA SOLICITATION #D-601-08,
SEEKING CONTRACTOR SERVICES FOR MATERIAL ABATEMENT SERVICES OF SPECIFIC UNITS OF THE EMMA WHEELER HOUSING COMPLEX.

The Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) is requesting bids from qualified firms to provide contractor services for abatement of specific materials containing asbestos or Lead Based Paint (LBP) within multiple units located at Emma Wheeler Homes. Sealed bids, in duplicate, will be received at the Central Office of the Chattanooga Housing Authority, 801 N. Holtzclaw Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404, until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 31st, 2012. At this time a public bid opening will be held, and bids will be read aloud. Bids must be submitted as instructed in IFB, within the specifications. A typical unit will be available for viewing on Tuesday, July 17th, 2012. Bidders should meet promptly at 10:00am at Emma Wheeler Homes, Central Office, located at 4900 Edinburg Drive., Chattanooga, TN 37404 to view typical units.
Drawings, specifications, and bid documents will be available on-line at www.chahousing.org, or by contacting Elemi Architects, LLC. Bid documents will be available after 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the following plan rooms: Associated General Contractors, Chattanooga, Tennessee; Chattanooga Builders Exchange, Chattanooga, Tennessee; McGraw-Hill Construction FW Dodge, Chattanooga, Tennessee; Tennessee Multicultural Chamber of Commerce, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
