The Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) is requesting bids from qualified firms to provide contractor services for the abatement of specific materials in seven units located at Emma Wheeler Homes. Sealed bids, in duplicate, will be received at the Central Office of the Chattanooga Housing Authority, 801 N. Holtzclaw Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404, until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 24th , 2011.   At this time a public bid opening will be held, and bids will be read aloud. Bids must be submitted as instructed in IFB, within the specifications. A typical unit in each building will be available for viewing on Tuesday, October 18th, 2011 between 1:00 p.m and 2:00 pm e.s.t.. Bidders should meet promptly at 1:00 pm at Emma Wheeler Homes, Central Office, located at 4900 Edinburg Drive., Chattanooga, TN 37404 to view typical units. Neighborhood Network Program Coordinator

The Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) seeks a qualified individual for the position of Neighborhood Network Program Coordinator.  Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruitment and selection of participants for the program.  Successful candidate will also be responsible for the assessment of resident’s knowledge, skill and job readiness. Individual will develop, implement and monitor the program self sufficiency work plan, assessing any needs for supportive services.  Will coordinate workshops and training that will support the needs of the participants.

Qualifications: Previous experience in social services programs geared to self-sufficiency of residents.  Bachelor’s Degree in a related social science; and 1-2 years of  experience in a social services department.  Any equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the above noted knowledge, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities include managing a case load of participants in the FSS program, providing supportive services and coordinating opportunities for job development. Responsible for meeting all HUD related requirements. Position will serve as a client advocate, providing technical assistance and supportive counseling, and utilizing all appropriate resources in support of families. Successful candidates will have experience in case management, with experience with at-risk populations preferred. Must have strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of HCVP program is a plus. The Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) is looking for committed, experienced employees who can transform the delivery of housing services to CHA residents.

Responsibilities will include maintenance for HVAC units on assigned sites. Individual will be responsible for performing HVAC mechanical and electrical repairs including structural and roofing installation and repairs. Acts in unison with Community Manager and Maintenance Services Manager to ensure that all RIM quality control standards are being maintained.

A High School diploma or equivalent is required and three to five years of related HVAC experience. HVAC certification is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to work both independently and in-group settings.
