<p><strong>1.0 </strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">SITE INFORMATION</span></strong><strong>:</strong> Most lots are located in and around The Villages at Alton Park.  There are additional single lots at 3515 Ohls Avenue and 1806 Wilson Street.  A full listing of the lots and maps are included with this solicitation.</p>
<p>The Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA or HA) is requesting qualified firms or individuals to submit quotes for the grass mowing and trimming of fifty-two (52) vacant lots.  Fifty (50) of the lots are in close proximity to each other in and around The Villages at Alton Park.  The fifty (50) lots total approximately 6.3 acres.  All work must be of a professional standard.  See the attached list and maps.</p>
<p>The HA reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informality in the quote process, or to terminate the quote process at any time, if deemed by the HA to be in its best interests.</p>
<p>Although the HA intends to award one single contract, the HA reserves the right to make a partial award, split award, or no award at all.  The HA will select the firm(s) or individual(s) submitting the lowest responsible and responsive quoted price(s) for the work which is based on compliance with this notice and addenda.</p>

<p><em>Bids, in duplicate, will be received until <strong>2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 29<sup>th</sup>, 2013, </strong>at the Development Department, Chattanooga Housing Authority, 801 N Holtzclaw Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.</em></p>
<p><em> </em></p>
<p><em>A <strong>pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 21st, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. </strong></em>in the Gymnasium of the Community Building at Emma Wheeler Homes, located at 4900 Edingburg Drive.<em>,</em> <em>Chattanooga, TN 37410. Specific units will also be available for viewing at that time. <strong>The</strong></em> <strong><em>project manager for CHA will be present. Due to the extent of this project, recorded</em></strong> <strong><em>attendance from a qualified representative is strongly recommended in order to submit a qualified bid.</em></strong></p>

<p>Bids, in duplicate, must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked as follows:</p>

<p>The following information must also be present on the outside of the envelope: Bidder&#8217;s name, state license number and its expiration date; name of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning subcontractors and their respective state license numbers and expiration dates, and the date and time of bid opening. This information is outlined at the end of the Bid Form in the project specifications.</p>
<p>Each contractor submitting a proposal must hold a license to operate in the State of Tennessee. All contractors and subcontractors must be licensed in accordance with TCA §62-6-119.  Bids must be submitted according to the “Instructions to Bidders”.</p>
<p>No bid may be withdrawn for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days from the above-stated bid date. CHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any abnormalities in the bids.</p>
<p>Attention is called to the provisions for Equal Employment Opportunity. Davis Bacon wage rates, as set forth in the specifications, are the prevailing wage rates for this project.</p>
<p>A Bid Bond will be required for contracts that are more than $100,000.  The successful bidder(s) for projects over $100,000 will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Payment and Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond. When a Payment and Performance Bond is required or applicable, the actual cost of the Payment and Performance Bond will be reimbursed to the contractor(s) by CHA.  Each bidder of a contract totaling greater than $100,000 shall accompany his / her bid with a signed certificate from a Surety Company acceptable to the Owner stating that such surety will provide the bidder, if awarded the Contract, with required Payment and Performance Bonds.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">The Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Legal Services necessary to supplement the daily management and operation of the Authority.</p>
<p>Proposals, in triplicate, will be received at the Procurement Department at the Central Office of the Chattanooga Housing Authority, 801 N. Holtzclaw Ave., Chattanooga, Tennessee 37404, until <span style="text-decoration: underline;">4:00 P.M. EDT</span><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> Wednesday, April 17, 2013</span>.<br />
CHA reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, make multiple awards, or waive any informalities in the proposals.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Proposal documents may be obtained between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. from the Procurement Department at CHA’s Central Office address above, or from CHA’s website. SEEKING GENERAL<em> </em>CONTRACTOR SERVICES FOR PHASE FOUR RESIDENTIAL RE-HAB OF SPECIFIC UNITS OF THE EMMA WHEELER HOUSING COMPLEX.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) is requesting sealed bids from qualified firms to provide General Contractor services for 8 available contracts encompassing a total of 50 residential units. Sealed bids, in duplicate, will be received at the Central Office of the Chattanooga Housing Authority, 801 N. Holtzclaw Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404, until <em>2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 9 , 2013.</em> At this time a public bid opening will be held, and bids will be read aloud.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Bids must be submitted as instructed in IFB. A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Gymnasium of the Community  Building at Emma Wheeler Homes, located at 4900 Edinburg   Drive<em>, </em>Chattanooga, TN. 37410<em>.  Due to the nature of the scope of work, attendance is strongly recommended and the project manager for CHA will be present. </em></p>
