Resident Engagement Intern The Chattanooga Housing Authority’s Housing Operations Department is seeking interns to assist the Resident Engagement team. The Resident Engagement team consists of 10 staff members who provide case management services to residents across CHA's rental housing portfolio and Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP). CHA has two Resident Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) Service Coordinators who provide case management at 3 of CHA's public housing developments: 1. College Hill Courts 2. East Lake Courts 3. Emma Wheeler Homes The following internship opportunities are available to work with the 2 ROSS Service Coordinators: -2 internships open in the Spring semester -2 internships open in the Summer semester -2 internships open in the Fall semester The internship includes assisting the ROSS Service Coordinators with case management, connecting residents with resources, connecting residents with rental assistance programs to stay compliant with their leases, and event/activity planning. Required qualifications: currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution at the junior/senior level and majoring in a social services or similar field of study. Maintenance Technician SALARY RANGE: $35,900.00- $52,100.00 The Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) seeks a qualified individual for the full-time position of Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance services to public housing units on assigned sites. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of CHA site grounds and facilities which includes performing janitorial responsibilities. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining the functionality, safety, and appearance of buildings, systems, and dwelling units by performing minor and routine maintenance and repairs. This individual must have the ability to drive, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb ladders on a repeated basis daily. This position requires basic hand tools and 24 hour on call availability as scheduled to perform emergency maintenance. A High School diploma or equivalent and one to two years of related experience is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under CHA’s automobile insurance. Required to be on call 24-hours, according to the schedule established by the Maintenance Services Manager and/or if needed for emergencies; this may result in overtime hours.
